| Anthony F. Ciali, President & CEO and a Director Mr. Ciali is a senior mining executive with over 28 years experience, principally obtained with the Consolidated Gold Fields Group and Monarch Resources Limited, in all management, operational, financial and public company reporting aspects of companies engaged in international mining and exploration activities. Mr. Ciali's experience includes arranging over US$200 million to finance the development of five gold mines in North and South America, utilizing gold loans, equity, debt and lease financing. Mr. Ciali has been involved with bankable feasibility studies with major engineering firms, establishing and overall responsibility for international exploration programs and negotiating the acquisition of mineral properties, including joint ventures and lease purchase option agreements. Mr. Ciali has previously listed a company on The Toronto Stock Exchange and had overall responsibility for the regulatory and reporting requirements of companies listed in Canada, the UK and the USA. Mr. Ciali earned a B.SC., Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration and obtained a CPA license in New York State (no longer active) while working for Price Waterhouse. | |
| Dana T. Jurika, Director and Co-Founder of the Company Mr. Jurika has extensive knowledge in entrepreneurial operations in developing nations, having worked in both India and Ecuador for several years. Gold mining and international development have always been part of Mr. Jurika's family affairs, beginning with plantations in the Philippines and gold mines in Arizona. Mr. Jurika is co-founder of Ascendant Exploration S.A. and previously held the position of General Manager. Mr. Jurika has a B.A. in International Politics and a B.A. Economics. | |
| Thomas Kelly, Director Mr. Kelly has Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a Fellow of Aus.IMM and a Registered Member of SME. He has over 36 years of world-wide mineral industry experience including underground and open pit mining, project development, project management, corporate management and consulting services. Mr. Kelly has held senior positions with Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., AMEC Americas, Inca Pacific Resources Inc. and other recognized industry-leading companies. Mr. Kelly is presently Chief Executive Officer of Apurimac Ferrum S.A., based in Lima. He is a recognized expert in project management and development. Mr. Kelly also serves as a director of Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (TSX: FVI). Mr. Kelly is based in Lima, Peru. | |
| Dr. William F. Lindquist, Director Dr. Lindqvist, an independent consulting geologist, has over 36 years of senior international exploration experience. He has served as Vice President of Exploration for Homestake Mining Company, Executive General Manager of Exploration for Newcrest Mining and General Manager-North American Exploration for Gold Fields Mining Corporation (a Consolidated Gold Fields Group company). During his long career, Dr. Lindqvist was closely involved in the discovery and development of a number of deposits, including Chimney Creek, Mesquite, Ortiz, Mule Canyon and Ruby Hill (United States); Gosowong (Indonesia); and Cadia East (Australia). Dr. Lindqvist earned a B.Sc. in Engineering from the Otago School of Mines, New Zealand; a B.Sc. (Honours) in Economic Geology from the University of Adelaide, Australia; and a Ph.D. in Applied Geology from the Royal School of Mines, London, England. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Society of Economic Geologists and the American Institute of Mining Engineers. Dr. Lindqvist also serves as a director of Evolving Gold Corp (TSXV: EVG), and Orosur Mining Inc. (TSXV: OMI). | |
| Fernando Pickman, Director Mr. Pickmann, a practicing lawyer based in Lima, brings more than 15 years of commercial and mining law experience to the Company. Mr. Pickmann received his Professional Degree in Law from the University of Lima in 1994 and his Masters Degree in Law (L.L.M) specializing in Business Legal Advice from the Law School at the Instituto de Empresa IE in Madrid Spain in 1997. He worked for Centromin Perú S.A., the Perúvian Government's mining privatization arm from 1997-98 and has practiced law in private firms since 1998. Mr. Pickmann has been instrumental in assisting the Company in establishing its operations in Peru. Mr. Pickmann also as a director of Estrella Gold Corporation (TSXV: EST). |
